Cases of six people suspected in the murder of Ali 'Tholhi Pele' Shifan, 33 of Maafannun Fairy Corner who was stabbed to death in April have forwarded to the Prosecutor General's office.
Police media official revealed that the cases had been forwarded for prosecution after the completion of investigations yesterday.
The people forwarded for prosecution over Shifan’s murder include Mohamed Asif, 19 of Lhaviyani Atoll Kurendhoo, Mohamed Saifan, 18 of Male registry 2193, Ali Nabeeh, 22 of Maafannu Nalahiyaa Manzil, Razzan Abdul Rahman, 19 of Baa Atoll Thulhaadhoo Kaanimaage, Abdulla Thilmeez, 20 of Maafannu Dhimmana and Mohamed Mishan Abdul Haadhy, 20 of Maafannu Silver net.
Police detailed that apart from Mishan the remaining suspects were in Police custody.
Shifan had been stabbed multiple times in the back and arms by two men on a GN motor bike near West Park restaurant as he stepped out to meet a friend.
